Past Projects
Jen wrote, directed and produced the mixed media film/theater/music project Yes! Damn it. to several sold out audiences at The Producer’s Club in NYC.
Art, Film & Theater:
Jen began her lifelong relationship with art as a young child while she drew and painted her way through much of her youth. Discovering the liberation of theater in high school, Jen soon found her own voice and went on to study acting at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, as well as with many other great teachers including the late Harold Guskin. Continuing to pursue ever more personally meaningful artistic endeavors, Jen soon found herself the lead singer of several alternative rock bands and directed her own multi media shows in NYC. This led to the creation of Risk Productions, a media company focused on making positive change in the world, which eventually caught the attention of Richard Perello of Cataland Films, who invited Jen to line produce for Broken Lizard Productions & co-produce the live action segment of Blue's Clues, the most successful children's show of its time, for Nickelodeon.
Enterprise & Education:
Having been born into the explosion of Springsteen’s iconic career as her eldest half-brother Mike produced his third record, Born to Run, with him, Jen learned the rigors & demands of professional entertainment young. She understood the power of being on the cover of both Time and Newsweek & she knew how to get there. This deep understanding of powerful marketing and branding led her to a position at Ernst & Young as a Senior Communication & Pursuit Strategist for the Mid Atlantic & eventually to the development of her own boutique branding company. In addition to marketing & branding, Jen has also had a robust career in education as a teacher of A.P. US History, English, theater & fine art, as well as a learning specialist & educational consultant and thanks every student she ever had for making her a better person. Jen created several performing and fine arts programs in NYC for youth struggling with self confidence, for which she received a grant and caught the attention of the Amy Winehouse Foundation and recorded Amy’s favorite song with her father as a tribute to her, Autumn Leaves. Never a political person, Jen was surprised to find herself so deeply involved in the American Conversation as of late and is now producing a film and concert to save a nation. “There are times in life when the artist can no longer afford to remain “apolitical” and watching a country burn down to the ground is certainly one of those times.” -JA
